The first information about Samsung’s new mid-range phone, the Galaxy A36 5G, has leaked online. A reputable source has revealed both what the device looks like and how big it is compared to its predecessor. The Galaxy A36 5G will replace the Galaxy A35 5G model, which is expected to launch in early 2025.
Samsung Galaxy A36 5G design revealed: It comes with Sony Xperia inspiration
According to the leak, the design of the Galaxy A36 5G is said to resemble the devices in Sony’s Xperia series. The back of the device looks particularly similar to the Xperia 10 V or Xperia 1 VI models. Accordingly, we can say that Samsung has adopted a new aesthetic approach in the Galaxy A series.
Also, the camera of the Galaxy A36 5G has a similar design line with the Galaxy Z Fold6. In fact, this design is expected to come to the future Galaxy S25 Ultra model. The Galaxy A36 5G is also said to retain some characteristic features from its predecessor, the Galaxy A35 5G.
It is reported that the device continues the Key Island design motif, but the bottom frame is thicker than the other sides. Looking at its dimensions, the device, which measures 162.6 x 77.9 x 7.4 mm, will be slightly longer, narrower and thinner than the Galaxy A35 5G.
The leaks also suggest that the Galaxy A36 5G, which is rumored to use a Snapdragon chipset, will prefer Qualcomm’s processors rather than Samsung’s Exynos chipsets. This information is also in line with the leaks seen in Geekbench tests.
In short, we can say that the Galaxy A36 5G will attract a lot of attention among Samsung’s mid-segment phones with its design inspired by Sony’s Xperia series and Snapdragon processor.
